We are an advocate organization operated exclusively to promote the social welfare of Washington Soldiers and Airmen and their families. As a non-profit, seperate from the WA Military Department, NGAW is a lobbying force, focused on securing the most effective legislation to maximize Washington State Army and Air Guardsmen benefits and resources.

Jan. 2026 – Regarding employer Leave Authorization for State Active Duty
May 2025 – A resolution in opposition to the proposed changes to federal pensions from the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, specifically the increase in employee contributions to FERS. Resolution was presented at 2025 NGAUS Conference and resolved favorably: the undesirable draft changes to the federal pensions from the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform were dropped.
April 2025 – Washington state should eliminate the income limit for veterans’ real estate tax exemptions.
Nov. 2024 – Regarding implementing a retention incentive for Washington government workers who are also in the National Guard.
