Sergeant Major (Retired) Matthew Krenz
Sergeant Major (Retired) Krenz has joined our team and will lead the EANGUS National Office effective March 24, 2021. Matthew is a Life Member of the association and has been an active participant in our Legislative Workshops and National Conferences. He has devoted the last 26 years in service to the U.S. Army and Army National Guard (ARNG) and comes to us from the National Guard Bureau (NGB) where he worked as the Human Resources Director (ARNG G1 Sergeant Major) until his retirement this month. He has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout his military career and previously worked in the NGB Legislative Liaison (LL) Office from March 2016 to June 2019 as the Government Affairs Manager and primary liaison responsible for direct interactions with Congressional Members and staff regarding Army National Guard personnel issues. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a Bachelors degree in Management and Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Legislative Affairs from Georgetown University Government Affairs Institute.
